Gene, will do, still listening to them on and off. Will do some more this evening. Rain headed this way and grass needs cut, then two push mowers and a rototiller to fix for a single female friend of the wife. Then a couple table lamps need new 3 way switches for my mother. If time allows, then Mobil 1 oil change in the wife's car. Normal non winter busy day off work! Summers here finally! Yahoo!
Gene, I searched for a Sencore timeline and came up empty. The TF166 appears to be newer than the TF151A, based on YouTube videos of the interior.
I chose the TF151A based on cost, and being totally manual with no "automatic" functions. The goal was getting a cheap, quality old school tester that I can use to better understand and test transistors.
