I had a few of these leftover from the PL2000-II project where I used one on the power switch. These are in stock and are "similar" to the above. Would they be a suitable replacement for the ones that are out of stock?

My rectifiers have .01 uF bypass film caps soldered on parallel to the internal diodes. Safety caps are a different matter. Guess one could use safety caps. Here's a photo of the original rectifier used in the 700 Pro, one of the last 700s built. Those are .022 uF ceramics. I kept it somewhat intact as a sample, this weekend I'll look and see if they're X or Y safety caps.

George, those film caps will do the job nicely. I prefer the equivalent ceramic caps in the far right picture because they cost half as much.

factory states 201 RMS , both channels driven, into 8 ohms....typically they do 240 at clipping. Some WOPL 400's have been 258 at clip..
