Never got stranded driving a manual
we did get stranded one time.... have to cut up a rubber boot to make clutch material on one of our mud trucks....the clutch disintegrated...we got a big screwdriver and put pieces of the boot between the clutch and pressure plate....cranked it in gear and drove it out of the wood....was interesting...Never got stranded driving a manual
I took these screenshots from Marks videos up on YouTube... May be useful.

YES....THANKS JOE!!!!There you go Gene. Joe has it. You'll get one big package. Thanks Joe!
these variable speed belt transmission were used on early farmall combines...we had one...and had to sand the pulleys each year after sitting over the winter...as not to eat up that very expensive belt....and my yamaha grizzly 600 used one....the automatics of the 4 wheeler world....i am sure technology has much better stuff now....i never have quite caught up yet....still think spark plugs cost a dollar...lolLast year I managed to get one of the ultra-rare-to-find Toyota Rav4 Prime cars. This is the first Japanese car I ever bought, and certainly never would have seen myself buying a hybrid - let alone a "plug-in hybrid". But this was going to be my wife's daily driver and I pretty much did nothing but wrote the check, much to my dismay.
Well, for the records, I was big-time wrong! This car is an ABSOLUTE BLAST to drive and has gotten amazing gas mileage, even when in purely mechanical engine mode. The electric side, with 100% motor torque when you wail on the loud pedal, is sheer excitement!
The one part I hated was the thought of the "snowmobile-like" CVT transmission, as they are a POS to drive. Wrong again ... watch this video of the RAV4 Prime CVT teardown - trust me it is a long video, but this guy is a teacher and gets into the nitty-gritty of the superiority of this transmission, compared to ANY slushbox on the market.
One-stop shopping,

those powerglides are very close to bullet proof....the transmission used in the older fuel dragsters....before the advent of slipping the clutch....Or a push or downhill start with a dead battery. I'm a old air cooled VW guy. So I really appreciate the heat and air conditioning on newer cars. Love modern auto trannies also. Those old 2 speed Powerglides weren't so great for fuel economy. Glenn going to look up those part #s after I make a pot of coffee. Then a full day day of chores.
Without Q8, you have no chance of being anywhere except on the negative rail...not that it matters....on the 400c driver board...
q5 left is leaking a bit...
q8 left is open....
would that explain the dc on left out??
asking for a friend...
