Got The Perry 700 II Opened Up

Powered up, relay clicks, offset .000, and .000, Bias .381 left channel, .075 right channel and will only adjust from .064 to .075....

How could I have a shorted output with an intact rail fuse?

It is a good feeling when you bring a WOPL back to life. We should document these failures in a dedicated thread, they don't happen very often. I wonder what the conditions were when the rail fuse detonated?
I had a customer that took out a few outputs of his PL700 II when he accidently dropped the tone arm onto a record. Took out his speakers too.

Yeah, just a little to far to the right.

Joe's engineering has made taking out an output a lot less painful. Not near as much collateral damage..

Lee, just replace your .33 Ohm resistors with 1 Amp fuses from China, they are probably close to 1/3rd of an ohm...

I will do a special backplane version for Lee that has fuse clips in place of each emitter resistor...
