Grandkids are old enough to understand they are hot. They love singing and being recorded on the reel to reel. They have a hard time understanding vinyl records
Actually, me too. How those friggen little wiggles in the groove turn into quality sound amazes me - and stereo to boot. I understand the physics and electronics, but it is still a tribute to technology. They have a hard time understanding vinyl records
My son for Christmas bought me a vinyl album (Nathaniel Rateliff - It's still alright,). First new vinyl album since the late 80's. I still have all my old vinyl and my kids love looking through and playing my old stuff. Much of it well worn. So I was really impressed with this new vinyl - how quiet it is. No lead-in ticks and pops. Latest pressings seem to be really really well done. And the new vinyl comes with a free download as well. So now he's buying more - for himself.

Given Perry's qualifications, I expect they will be some of the finest M-125s ever built.
I wonder if I could cut off part of a 700B heatsink and use it as an (early) PL400 heatsink? To replace the four-finner?
