For some reason the space bar doesn't make a space when I type into this forum lately. I have to type my line, mouse click on the intended word breaks, and add my spaces later.

Anyone else getting this (feature)?

Space space space.. no? FWIW seems your version of Chrome has been out for just a week - was it then that this started to occur? How about Safari?

All my crap got over last week. Still have some trouble when editing getting the 3 character message and having to Go advanced/preview to post the edit, or else the page hangs now and then and when you refresh it just grinds so you close and reopen.

Imagine how fresh this site would look with a Xenforo skin.

PS I still need to get a Sansui 4 XMAS.

Chrome actually updated itself to v 54.0.2840.87, Mac Sierra is a recent update, too. I'd suspect the browser over the OS, but yeah- the spacebar issue just happened Thu or Fri last week. Too used to using Chrome, don't use anything else. I know- I'm surrendering too much personal info to the Google monster.

NEW: If I backspace a character the problem disappears. Go figure...

Space bar issue was happening for me after quoting text. I was able to avoid it by typing next to the quoted text, which the space bar would seem to work fine. I tried to jump down below the quoted text... no spaces. I would go back and add my spacing after I finished typing my post.

Also running chrome. Not sure how new it is.

Hmmm.. I can try that myself, but can you outline step by step to see if I can reproduce?

Yeah.. we be contemplating a forum software switch...

It's chrome. I went to another forum and nothing would show up. They said to install chrome, which I did and now fighting the spacebar issue. I uninstalled and all is back to normal.

Not sure if this is helpful.... I am using SRware Iron 64 bit (modified version of chrome) and duckduckgo and have noticed any issues. BTW, I hate Google too, but Big Government is everywhere. :(

You're going to see much more goofy BS with IE 11 as Microsoft and site designs will favor Edge ... and others obviously.

20+ years in the publishing industry taught me to steer clear of all things Microsoft. I'm a Mac head and I won't go back. I have a Windows computer, using 64 bit Windows 10, and I get sick of fighting with it every time I turn it on. With the Mac I get my shit done without problems.

Alright, I hit quote, and reply to msg. Once quote appears if I try to hit enter twice, to space my text from quoted text, I get no space bar. At which point I use backspace to return to the position beside the
. If text is Immediately beside [] box space bar works fine. When done typing, I go back up to the first word I type and hit enter to jump my text below quoted text so it doesnt appear like this. Currently the issue is still there while typing this msg. When I tried to jump below what I am currently typing,(by hitting enter twice) I have no space bar again.

After making this post I notice, the board automatically spaces my text. So I realize now there is no need to hit enter twice to have my text below the quote.

Was having issues with firefox dragging ass when multiple windows load up. Did some research and found that for whatever reason that particular version of firefox, was a hog when running multiple windows, so I made the switch.

Again, space bar issue typing this post, if I try to separate into paragraphs, I go no space bar after hitting enter twice. I basically type a big run on paragraph and space it all out afterwards.

The issue is not apparent if I use the edit post function, and I havent noticed it other than when I quote text.
