John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band

John Lennon speaking straight from the heart. this one (and Walls and Bridges) really hit hard here.

I think this is also known as the "primal scream" album- John was going through primal scream therapy at the time. If I recall correctly, there was another release with a similar front cover, and was exclusively Yoko's (music?).

WHITE Apple label- I think you have an original first release there.

EDIT: YES! There was a separate Yoko album with the same cover: https://www.discogs.com/Yoko-Ono-Plastic-Ono-Band-Yoko-Ono-Plastic-Ono-Band/master/90491

The 'John' version has John resting back against Yoko who is resting against the tree.

The 'Yoko' version has their positions swapped.

Yes, that's my recall about the primal scream therapy. "Mother" is an open nerve. the other songs are, regardless, from the heart and are timeless. In fact, they apply pretty well to current madness we're living through, IMO.

Absolutely! My favorite Lennon album. Track 1 side 2: "Remember" is my favorite track.

Thanks- I never looked close enough, but only saw that both John and Yoko did separate albums with similar concepts.
