I saw a nice Exciteable Boy in the bins today and reminded me of another favorite by Zevon. great sound quality and a killer album.

No such things as bad days, just bad moments
Speakerlabfan, after reading your posts i have to ask, how did / do you obtain all those promo copies?

I was store manager of a Kelly's stereo store with a really good record department and I did get a few from the music reps but you seem to have scads of them. The record department manager who was way better connected than me and for a lot longer got promo copies all the time. Was that your background?

I don't have a background, just a music fan for a very long time. :) I did know a friend of my brothers who ran a small used record store in Seattle in the 70s but I don't recall getting any promo records from him. I've just had a bit of good luck running across these over the years of collecting. There were and are still tons of used records in circulation, especially on the west coast it seems so it's probably just a percentage of these which are out there as promos.

Victim of the record bug since age five
Is that a good thing or a bad thing??
It just makes me think that foreigners appreciate the US more than we natives sometimes.
Not necessarily a bad thing, it just doesn't reflect too well on the native sons.
(just my humble opinion...)
