Got the build done but I am having a problem. After I got the back plane boards installed and the bottom row of transistors in I did the basic test and initial power up. Everything was fine. I then discharged, or at least thought I had, the supply caps using the resistor and alligator clips I had been told to build... I should have double checked! While I was screwing in the 3rd one from the bottom I found out the hard way the caps were not all the way discharged! shorted.jpg

After I did that I tested them in circuit and everything seemed fine. I have since pulled all of them out and rechecked and they all test good. My problem is the amp has no bass per say. It starts sounding bad as soon as I crank it up.
Here is a video and you can hear what it's doing.. somewhat! :compress:

Is this a full WOPL?? backplanes and driver board?

The ones above the transformer on the back....

Did you check the pico fuses on the backplanes? Check the 1 ohm resistors there too....

Could you post a pic of what you touched when you sparked it?

The pic in the first post, I circled the transistor. I was screwing in upper screw with an allen tool and I must have touched the cooling fin. That's where it sparked... can't really see anything.
