That's a very nice way to toil away the time. Your work shop is too clean. What kind of work do you do in it?
Nando.
Do you have a woofer for the DQs?
I listened to Dahlquists back in the mid 70s and just couldn't get into them I wasn't bass crazy but they just didn't have enough for meI do not have the Dahlquist woofer and EQ unit. Am running a bucket subwoofer and Dayton plate amp with them though.

Yea evidently the Audio dealer must have had problems selling them also when I was at his studio he had a nice array of Speakers but kept on pushing the Dahlquist and was switching back and forth via a speaker switcher all but the Dalquists were using the same amp pre-amp except the Dahlquist which used a different pre/amp that had the Bass pumped up, when I flattened out the pre the sound changed. i told the guy I might have bought a different set of speakers from him didn't like the game he played and leftI agree. The very first stereo shop I worked at sold them and they didn't spin my crank.
I have a pair of completely refurbished Imp 7s done by me, they were my main speaker til I got the 1010sI'm really enjoying these Marantz Imperial 5s, not big thumpers but the presence is definitely there and they convey rumble with warmth all around.
