Broken beyond repair but highly affable
lots of rain here in Western Washington last night after the winds - at least an inch - but usually not as much carries over the Cascade range into E. Washington. I'm not hearing if it helped over there. I did hear that the winds yesterday were bad news and were kicking up sparks, causing more evacuations. over 900 square miles are impacted! I'm sure that the rain helped the fire on the Olympic peninsula. From the USA Today site:

XANTAC ain't gonna cure that burning...

Anyone heard of Elephant's Memory?

I picked through about 8,000 LP's in in Grand Forks, BC yesterday, and bought about 30. It was a shop that liquidated estates. Mostly what I got was from the 60's and early 70's and most were by bands I've either never heard of or vaguely remember.

One I found that I never heard of was by Elephant's Memory and it said "Produced by John and Yoko" on the back Normally I would avoid anything with Yoko Ono's name on it like the plague but since it was on the Apple label, I was curious. I Google searched when I got home and read that they had collaborated with Jonn Lennon and the liner notes credit him with guitar on some tracks. I put them through the Spin Clean this afternoon and listened to this one first almost all the way through. The last track on side 2 is called "Local Plastic Ono Band" and that word ONO scared me off. However, all that I did listen too was great - it rocked!

Yes, I have at least one Elephant's Memory record. Good pickup - good stuff. That must have been fun & hard work going through 8k records (equivalent of 80 boxes of LPs) - I hope they were on a table? I've gone through collections like that on basement floors, and several hours of that is hard work.

Copy that but the boxes were on tables so not too hard on the back - knees either because it was a cement floor.
