Numbered #0168 of the 7500 run edition - according to online research. Sounds great. A gift from an audio friend a few years ago when I sold him an Elac Miracord turntable.
well of course it's subjective but understand that grating vocals can hard to overlook, like nails on a chalkboard. Rush/Geddy Lee does that for me at times. And it's a good thing that John, Paul and George didn't let Ringo sing very many songs. I don't recall that here unless he was vamping on a track or two. Not a huge Bowie fan overall but his early records have killer songwriting and sound quality.
A REALLY good American Top 40 rebroadcast (May 24, 1980)! Even a week of so after Mount St. Helens erupted I couldn't tear myself from my mom's stereo listening to 58 KFXD.
Small Faces - s/t

I didn't have much exposure other than the hits (and Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane's subsequent work) but have enjoyed exploring this influential band's music.
Interesting question since they were both active in the same genre in Great Britain in the late 60s (Marriott/Humble Pie; Capaldi/Traffic) I bet they knew other but I don't know if they played or guested on either's records, and not seeing anything on a quick web search.
w/ Danny Thompson, bass and the Jeff Beck Group play on a couple of songs. Includes the original Superlungs My Supergirl - which Terry Reid covered in his debut solo LP.
