This one is for Dennis (Laz). He sent me the MFSL of Boston - Third Stage. I never like this album before but after listening to it a few times now, I have to admit this is the best sounding CD I own. I found myself looking over at my turntable to se if it was time to lift the stylus (my TT is manual) since it sounded so analogish

For the WOPL legions, I apologize for the shitty camera mic, I can assure you it sounded crystal clear with the needles flat and she wanted to give more, I chickened out

MFSL mastering has never let me down. I have not sampled the MFSL SACDs yet but would like to soon. Looks like your WO amp goes to 11 Ron.

I wonder how much more I can crank it Joe. It did not hiccup at all at that final level and was crystal clear. I am just tempted to trust my ears as it seems she has a ways to go but the needles flat to the right make me gun shy, not too mention it would be tough explaining to Jerry why suddenly my amp needs a bunch of crap done to it

I own one SACD (Allman Brother at Fillmore East) and that's thanks to Michele. I like how it sounds but the MFSL gold ultradiscs really impress me, at least the Boston does. How much to the right do you reckon the volume can be pushed, that was about 1 o'clock on the Perreaux and like I said, not a hiccup or any type of weird sounds. Speakers did not sound distressed in the least

That amp is because of you Joe, it still blows me away every time I hear it

George Duke - I Love The Blues, She Heard My Cry
(1975, BASF) Promo; STERLING in the deadwax

w/ Johnny Guitar Watson, Airto, Flora Purim, Lee Ritenour. Terrific sound quality. Started out with flat out Dr. John style blues rock, now is fusion-y keyboard noodling, and a Hendrix rock track. Blues meets fusion. tasty. a surprising find in the $1 bins.

The LP setup is set up again. Listened to an LP I only listen to on dark, cold, snowy evenings. Otherwise, still forming an impression of the LP Ron sent me...

DTP's Sonic Mayhem. A mix tape made by Tony, in Jan 2013.

Have not listened to this since buying the Sony deck from John. Sounds phenomenal played back on this deck.

My bucket doesnt seem to be working on my browser. Not quite as quick doing it from a mobile device...

Washing dishes, and as usual while washing dishes, I'm listening to the 3 Mustaphas 3 CD, Shopping, and a Japanese pressing at that, with a few extra tracks. My wife came into the kitchen for a bit, and we danced to "?Voulez-Vous Danser?". Did I ever mention that my wife used to teach West Coast Swing at the local Dick Clark's in Overland Park, Kansas? She learned to dance from his TV show back in the day, but when she got to meet him at his business, she found that he didn't dance. Who knew?
