Heat shrink is a polyolefin material in a tube form used to replace insulation or to be used in place of tape. Like that small piece I sent with that terminal end. You put it on wire or the terminal end, warm it up with a hair dryer and it shrinks and sticks to what its on and has insulation properties as good or better than the insulation it replaces. If I knew you didn't have any I would have sent a jag of the shit....

D2, we only needed about 1/8 to 3/16 total stripped. All they have to do is go in those little tabs enough to be soldered. But that's cool. If they are long enough we'll trim the long ends off.

Check all the transformer wires for melt. It looks like BD got into some of the wires with the soldering iron. Inspect them. If it looks thin or exposed we gotta get some heatshrink and get those spots covered.

They sell heatshrink about anywhere. Radio Shack, Home Depot, about anywhere they sell wire or terminal ends...

There is no exposed wire, can only seem to see melt on one red wire. I can insulate this with electrical tape correct? Just finished stripping rest of the wires and am about to prepare the two wires soldered together.

Tape is not an option right there. Use the piece i sent. It's not totally necessary on the terminal you are going to solder on the black wire. At this time you can put that terminal end on the black wire, crimp and solder it.

Take that piece of heatshrink off the black wire now and slip it over that red wire with the melt and shrink it over the melt spot.

If it wont slip over the ring terminal go ahead and shrink it over the place you crimped and soldered.

A Bic lighter on low flame about a couple inches below it and rotate the shrink over the flame...

I'm sure he has a lighter. I use a lighter all the time, if you are careful.
