Pioneer goodies

On a side note - did you get around to restoring the vintage Pioneer headphones?
It's stored safely waiting for the parts needed to get them back to my standards.

As you've noticed I'm busy with several things and is also the reason for being online less frequently than I did in the past.

I think the whole vinyl revival is still far from over Daren.
No doubt about it - the kids really are embracing vinyl. Good for them.

I don't see really any change as far as popularity of records since the 80s, not a bit.
That is probably true for a generation that were brought up used to playing records.

I suspect that most kids today are from homes where compact discs were the dominant format. In some ways, that makes the resurgence more remarkable.

Perhaps, the difference in popularity of vinyl is due, in some part, to the advent of the internet and people becoming involved in audio forums.
Spot on Nando - I imagine social media has also played a big role enticing the under 25s to investigate vinyl.

Oh, thanks god i was not the busiest person around.
Welcome back Sep! :)

Being busy is good, Miles. It has been hectic @ work lately for me - long hours and not enough time off. It will be nice to see those Pioneers restored to better-than-new condition.

What we have here is a small lightbulb used as a stereo indicator on some vintage receivers:

Can you Imagine to put 2304 of those lights in a christmas tree in just one hour?

Miles: Don't you have elves in that part of the world to do that kind of work? With 2304 mini lights I hope your tree stands higher than one metre.

I can also imagine a glass of something cool and relaxing when that job has been completed.

And being the pretentious bastard that I am; is that not a cool photo below?

Squint your eyes and it almost looks like a city at night as seen from the ISS.
