The Election!!!

Unfortunately for both of them the voters can see through BS pretty easily.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with that statement. I present the vast majority of the people in DC as evidence that voters do NOT see through BS easily.

DC won't get legal pot unless CONGRESS okays that (they are in charge) and nobody there wants their supply cut.

Honestly I'm surprised that DC wasn't the first state to go legal just to cover the politicans asses! Now they can support it without looking bad! Maybe we will get somewhere federaly now!!

Most voters would have to care enough to look at the BS to see through it!!! This is America.. Nobody has time like that. That's what our government is for :sleepy5::sleepy5:

The Somali's dont vote and The Governer and Senator are loads better then the stiffs that ran against em. Obviously look who won We had Mcfadden running for Senator and he hides his money off shore and helps close US companies so they can move over seas. Johnson who ran for Governor just had Johnson envy so that would be the only reason he was running. Unfortunately for both of them the voters can see through BS pretty easily.

I am still laughing over Jesse Ventura

Must be something they put in your water? Try the bottled variety

He was actually a good Governor, but he let the position get to his head and got paranoid about the news media.

And Illinois electing a Republican Govenor is hard to believe...

Yeah for us, unfortunately Mike Madigan is still in charge of the House and the rest of the Legislature is all Dems, he won't be able to get much done.

You got that right. Rauner is not my favorite person but he is the only hope we have. Let's hope he is sincere and doesn't get caught up in Illinois political debacle. He may actually have the cajones to buck Madigan.

Too funny....... Years ago there was some quality of life to be found in MN along with actual jobs, not so for the past decade plus.

People and companies would be leaving MN even faster except the highways are so bad most everyone is lost in the pot-holes trying to find a way out! Those that stay will have their billion dollar trains to the multiple outdoor stadiums, more bike paths than highways (really a great way to travel 9 months out of the year), no jobs, busloads of freeloaders from everywhere else for neighbors, no single family homes, no energy, no disposable income, crappy healthcare, taxes and regulations everywhere on everything and increasing daily, and the list goes on and on...... Wow, Sounds like a fantastic place to live and retire. Personally can't wait to be gone from here in the very near future.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone has one.

Lol either someone is pissing in your wheaties on a daily basis or you live in Chaska. Everyone I know has a decnt paying job with plenty of benefits. I don't like paying for billionaries stadiums any better then the next guy but we need to hike gas taxes 15 or 20 cents per gallon to fix the roads, although in my neck of the woods they are fine.

My hope would be that lots of people would leave as it is too crowded right now.

Good luck in Wyoming. Maybe Lee can fill you in on how warm the winters are there? Hopefully you can find your nirvana there.

I do drink bottled water. My well is terrible.

Not honestly sure if you're trolling or not here. Are you telling me you believe that the folks in DC are actually doing a good job, and have been elected on their relative lack of BS ? I'm really just curious if you honestly disagree with me, or if you're just messing with me. Either is fine, I just prefer to know what the case is.

As far as the bottled water that was a joke.

I don't believe the elected officials in DC are doing a great job. Some probably are and of course some are not. as an aggregate they are not helping matters much for most of the countries citizens. I don't think it matters what party they belong to either as they tend to vote along party lines instead of what makes the most sense for their constituents.

As far as the BS, I think the voters have to choose the lesser of two evils, so depending upon your viewpoint I guess they can see which candidate is more full of BS.

I agree everyone should voice their opinion..... However, I totally disagree with your point that all is wonderful here in the northern winterland or the country. FWIW, I have lived in many parts of the country and things are not wonderful here or in most parts of the country for the average person. Good jobs are not out there and I can list 10's of people with outstanding work history, education, etc that have been looking hard for a 'real job' for months and much longer. Companies are moving from high cost states to other states or countries with lower costs. I can list many examples including the large multi-national I work for.

MN does not need more money for roads or anything else. They recently passed the largest tax increase in state history, and are one of the highest taxed and cost of living states in the country. They have a huge spending and allocation problem as does DC. There is never enough of the working peoples money for all the crap they waste it on. Billion dollar light rail is not a wise investment and will never pay for itself. The ruling class in St Paul does not need an 80 million dollar office building when highways need to be fixed and office space is everywhere are just 2 glaring examples.

Everyone needs to wake-up and get involved in getting this great country turned around.....

Happy Friday,
Robert

Can't wait to welcome you to Wyoming...

Lee,

I can't wait..... FWIW, I was in Sheridan a few weeks back looking at houses. The need for a nice shop may require me to build, which would be an interesting adventure from 900 miles away. It will happen one of these days....

I agree with most of your points but this is happening nationwide and not just in MN. All companies are looking to cut cost where ever they can, and most workers are not getting much for salary increases in the last 5 to 10 years. I just took exception that you were lambasting MN alone when one could say the same thning for 3/4 of the states in the Union if not all of them. Are things perfect, no they never are. Would I like if Federal, State and Local Governments would question every spending they do? Yes of course I would. If I were king for a day I'd straighten out the SS/Medicare and Defense monetary issues in a heart beat. The probelm is the current and past politicians do not want to make the hard choices.

I am not sure we can ever gewt back to where we were as the horse is out of the barn, but we could make smart well educated decisions going forward. I for one would like my $32,000 they spend in Iraq and Afghanistan back for one thing. There are plenty of other things that are huge resource wasters too but I wont get into them.
