NJ came out exactly how I expected. The guy I voted for also got less than 1%. I'm so fed up with both of the major parties that I try and vote otherwise whenever I can. I know its mostly a futile effort, but if you can't vote in good faith for either of the two who are likely to win, what else can you do? I did the same thing last presidential election. Gary didn't do well, but I had no love for the other two nitwits.

One dissapointing thing about our results is the morons voted to allow suspension of bail either by judge or legislature. We've had the ability for a judge to suspend right to bail for valid reasons for a long time. I do not want the legislature dicking around with these sorts of things, no good will come of it.

Looks like it will happen, the Senate may soon become a functioning body again instead of a place where bills went to die to keep a vote from being taken on them so their vote would not be on record. Folks that's sick....Granted it remains to be seen if that will be a positive developement....

Wyoming has had a long list of Democratic Governors ....it seems out of character and there has been some debate on it. It has been opined that the populace likes to counter our usually( ok, ALWAYS) Republican state legislature with a Democratic governor. It really is a strange quirk.

Even before CNN or Fox called the GOP Senate control, news broke that Obama is reaching out to the new leadership. Not verbatim, but something along the lines of - "I want to reach out to you guys...".

IMHO, tonight marks the end of the "spell" cast on the country; the Obama rock-star phenomenon is officially over. It died months ago but the voting public - those that care to vote - turned off the stage lights and locked the gates at the arena. Massive Governorship wins, a Senate firmly in control by the GOP and they scooped up more seats in the House too. The Governorship blow out alone is something to get really excited about. The president will be confronting a systematic stream of bills passed by both chambers, many with strong Democrat support, and he will have to be selective about what he vetoes. Obama was very vocal since the 2012 election, repeating "American people had spoken and given him a mandate".

Let's see what he does with this new mandate...

You all have no reason not to visit me now...

The recreational pot measure passed.

I assume that since Idaho's leadership really didn't change a lot, more people will be taking up smoking around here.

I expect full employment, an increase in wages, new bridges nationwide and the push for lower corporate taxes and new wars within a year. Oh wait we don't have a Repub Prez yet.

Atlease in Mn we kept of Dem Gov and Senator, but both state houses will now controlled by the republicans. Doesn't really matter what party though as they sit on their hands as long as they can on any issues anyway.
