We call Em pre amps..
Just lucky I have the D9's. With a 108db sensitivity rating my ears give out before I get anywhere close. And then there's the rattling shit off the walls.. downstairs... that my wife isn't too keen about too.
Although I did have to RESIST .. TWICE.. when seeing another pair of D9's for sale locally here. Damn this hobby, damn it all... LOL![]()

Might not be the D's but damn if that price aint attractive...
MUST... RESIST...
Damn that is a nice price, even if the woofer surrounds are rotted (worst case scenario).

Man I know... I think the E series isn't that old tho, which on the plus side means the chances of rot are pretty low. Bad side.. well.. could be the old saying that they don't make them like the used to.
No room... other things to do today... I'll succumb to "MBW" (murder by wife)
(what else can I tell myself to NOT reply to this?)
I have a pair of dx-7's and at-15 also but there not modded at all and personally the mini monitors and sub combo sound waaay better then either of those sets.so they sit in the corner.. Yea the e series are newer and cheaper than the d or dx or at series's.
Jeez I've been here since January and have 2500 posts already. Does that mean I'm a loser with nothing else better to do. Or does it show my love for this place? Or maybe I talk to much. Hmmmm
Jer has rebult the crossovers in his D9's .....i don't think it took much....
beign that i have 2 pair of diff 15 crewins i would be willing to try on my own if somebody could walk me through it... im willing to learn i need to sharpen my solderin skills but i got stuff to practice on..
if it's just a matter of swapping over components, then that's pretty straight forward.
take a pic of the x-o's out of the box so we can see and you'll get all the help u need right here.
It's locating the bits at an affordable price and access to you that's the hard part.
