OK, Jani's computer now has the following on a black screen when trying to power up her old computer----
Disk Boot Failure---Insert System Disk and Press Enter...
WTF??
The computer is not reading the disk drive where the operation system is located.
You need to check the bios when starting your computer, hold delete when powering up, and make sure that the
hard disk where the operating system is located is listed under 1st boot drive. Also in the bios you can check storage devices
to make sure that drive is listed. If the drive is not listed then the drive is either not receiving power or is corrupted.
If it is corrupted you need to re format and re install operating system. (all data on the drive will be lost when re installing
operating system. (that's why it is recommended drives are backed up on cd's)
