A Few Decks to Sell/ Trade...

I have different lumber to sell, but i'll let yours run without competition for awhile, and all the posts we are making is certainly bumping your thread to the top for better visibility. :rabbit:

I need another deck like a hole in my head.

So where the hell are we x-act-ly in this endeavour (with the Canadian accent)?

Yes Z-man...got your PM :evil3:

Look for the smoking smilie in shades (in the white box) in the group of emoticons/smilies when you compose/reply, move two to the right...it's called : evil3 : (separation to avoid conversion to a smilie).

No, the x-act-ly is for all the STFUs and too hot chicks yesterday and today about the Cave and regular forums.

I'll get the deal done this week, Zach...

The CT-F2121 arrived today! I hooked it in...it's sorta staticky EDIT: NO WAIT, IT's the speaker I need to fix and forgot about. and doesn't seem to record...not a huge problem as I have a old chassis torn down that might help some.

The deck plays at a stable speed and it's the right one so it's probably not so hard, and the cabinet is really nice!

Thank you, Zach!

Steven (working toward the next one)

I sprayed and worked out the record/play switch, will try it again in the morning.

Yes, blowing it out is harder without the nozzle and yes, that is Cramoline B-5...I tried to put the DeOxit top back together a couple weeks ago and only make it stick open and just spray out on me until I got it in a bag...no damned fun and expensive.

Okay, it's time to put the work to the test.

Guess what? There's a switch on the back for input source and I switched it over. Apparently it was set for mics only. The right channel tries to cut out now and then but it's the pots. I can probably ckean that up.

The counter doesn't move on this one but that isn't a problem for this model.

I'm looking forward to getting the 850, and thank you, Zach!

Good deal. She is a cool looking machine. That's why I had to pick her up even though I didn't really have a use.

Then is was time to cull...

Glad you'll get some use out of it.

I'll get that 850 out this week for sure, just not sure exactly when- gotta see how my "lunch hour project" list looks. Right this second, I can't think of anything else I have to do today, but don't count on it.

I'm still trying to get everything sorted to order parts for that Forester I bought. Had to order parts to rebuild the turbo yesterday. Complete engine rebuild, clutch, flywheel, etc. Lots of choices to make.

Zach

A lot of aftermarket choices for that Zach?

For a stock rebuild, not too many. I'm not looking for anything silly, just the stock set up.

For performance, there's an insane amount of variety. This car has the same long block as the STI (de-tuned), and those guys go crazy.

Some items- crankshaft, rods, flywheel- OE only, or crazy forged, light weight, etc.

But, bearings, gaskets, and such, there's several choices, and I'm still working out how cheap I can get away with and still work right for a long time.

Really though, just being a tight ass. For what I got the car for, I could practically just drop a new OE long block in and be OK, but what fun is that?

If you could get that in a GL-10 it would surprise the whole town you know.

Amen...

Speaking of what fun is that... I thought I missed the mail carrier today and that she didn't knock to deliver but it might have been yesterday's mail and I never saw it. Still, I hopped on the Schwinn and covered 1/4 of the west side of town N-S and W-E in about 20 minutes...no sign, went to the post office, then went home and found junk mail and a delivery notice, asked the constuction worker at the neighbor's if he had seen the truck and he said it was here a short while ago...

Knew which way to go and gound the truck exactly where I figured it would be a few blocks away, she asked if I was going straight home so she could go back and I RACED home and got there as she was turning around to come to my driveway!

I told her Lance Armstrong-Sharmstrong, I should be on the USPS racing team!

Now, I have it unpacked, have not plugged it in, am taking pictures and will go where I can send them to myself and post them when I get back.

I will save the rest until that time. I have lab work at the doctor's office along the way so it will be a couple hours.

From my initial inspection it looked like a belt is missing. There is a large pulley at the center with one belt in the back groove and it looks like none in the front grropve. I can feel something in the supply hub so I know something is going on there, just not turning. I took a full set of pictures and will be sending them to myself ASAP.

The back panel is bent in where the dent was, this was there to start with when he sent it, I can tell. It's easy to fix and didn't have anything to contribute to the working state of the deck. Zach packed it in the manner I asked for and gets kudos for packing.

More later. I DO HAVE A NUMBER OF BELTS!
