Lee - Ed mentioned one of the Phase Linear PRE Amps as his favorite during a phone con that I had with him but I don't recollect which one. It would be interesting to get his input here. I'll attempt to entice him with another hot chick in his WOPL thread but he seems to ignore them. :confused4:

Lee - Ed mentioned one of the Phase Linear Amps as his favorite during a phone con that I had with him but I don't recollect which one. It would be interesting to get his input here. I'll attempt to entice him with another hot chick in his WOPL thread but he seems to ignore them. :confused4:

Not as yet. They are just sitting on a shelf. Maybe next week, after I get back from a few days at the lake. I'll rotate them and see if I can hear any difference between the 3300, 3600 + 3800. As far as I know the last two are factory stock.

From reading online the 3600 and 3800 came out the same year. I guess the 3600 was 459$ new and the 3800 was 649$ new. It says the only diff internally is a better phono stage and that's why it's was 200$ more!!!

As well as a better phono stage the 3800 has parametric tone controls and a better headphone amp.

This is a first, big caps paralled on the outputs.....and siliconed to the chassis, hack city...

Correction, caps were SERIESED to the output speaker posts from ther output rails...must have been an oscillator..
 
Top
