A Farewell To Kings
Some of you will know that my analogue credentials are a little shaky. They are soon to become non-existent!
Having finally decided to exit all things cassette, I have now selected the tapes I'm going to save and those that I will try and sell. I'll reveal which ones I kept at a later date.
It is however, beginning to dawn on me that this is the end of an era. I have had a truly brilliant time messing about with the humble compact cassette through the years.
The simple truth is that I am not prepared to spend any more money on this format. I have spent the last few months looking for a decent deck but despite a healthy budget, I have been unable to source one to my satisfaction.
Instead of pulling the trigger on an inferior machine, I have come to the conclusion that it is probably best to pull the plug completely. There were a number of other considerations, but I'm pretty sure that I won't regret this move - although I
will greatly miss making & trading mix tapes.
