Hi All I was recently gifted a PL 700b...
My friend that gave it to me has a fuzzy memory of it smoking on him years ago.
I opened it up and inspected it, looking for the source of the supposed smoke.... Everything looks great....I removed the transistor covers on the back and all looks normal. I am definitely not a tech.... I will bring it to my good Friend that is an excellent tech to check it out.
I plan on doing the DC protection to spare my Polk Audio SDA 2b's first thing. White Oak Board Second and so on until I run out of money or come to my senses.
I AM IN SEARCH of the backlit center logo piece( I have the blue lense). Somebody put a nice piece of hardwood in it's place but I would love to restore it to it's original state , cosmetically Thanks!
