this is the first pl amp I found in my price range wish I could find a core 700b or series two for about the same price as this.

Would need to be an 8 fin. Got to really love a 400 for a WOPL conversion anyway. Numbers $$$ do not add up. Look for a 700. In my opinion leave the 400 stock with maybe a few upgrades like DC protection, new caps, meter board, new outputs.....

What are the resistors across the meters? None of the PL400/700 amps I've worked on had those resistors.
