Hi guys, I thought I'd post a note showing the WOPL 700S2 in operation. The sound recording kinda stinks, I used my phone to record it. However, I am pleased to report the neighbors are enjoying some Led Zeppelin with me, and they don't even need to leave their couch. One thing I do notice with the sound, it is not as fat in the bass department as I remember the 400 being. I am running it together with the same PL3000 preamp as I did with the 400. Perhaps after burn in this will correct? As for the 700 system, now I can start working my way down the stack of PL add ons. LOL.. As you guys say, this stuff is addicting. As a side note, I'm working on the full WOPL400 right now, trying to get past a bright DIM bulb issue. If I can't figure it out, I'll be asking for some help. Right now, I'm taking a break from it and going out to the shop to work on my old Norton. One must have balance in one's life. So, thanks for all the help so far, and you all have a great New Year.

Yes, new fresh Supply caps from White Oak. LOL. I'm using the same preamp I used with the 400, however I have a backup pl3000 i can swap in to check. Of course at my age, a hearing test would probably be a good idea too.

How far can we push it… model two? Can you get 2000 watts mono out of a 20-amp 120v circuit? More? 2400 if there is no loss but that’s not reality… can’t spare the watt to run an indicator LED!
