Woofer stuck in cabinet...HELP!

Well I've got these put aside for now as I'm going to be working on the EII's. However, I was digging around in some old Snell replacement literature and it mentioned using a corkscrew to take out the driver. Sounds like a novel idea :cheers:

Ah... Now I see what happened with these CIVs. I'm petty sure now that these have been worked before. One of the mids, which is stamped steel, has a slight outward bend around one of the screw holes. A corkscrew might explain that odd damage. Didn't make sense until now. Also, the old instruction explains to re-seal the woofers with "stripping caulk". I think whom ever worked on them misunderstood and used regular caulking. That would certainly explain the white substance around the screw holes of the 10", and why they are so difficult to pull....

Glad I didn't spend a lot on these lol.

If you destroy them in the procerss of fixing them.......anyway, I'm amazed you are able to get as much information as you do about them. No I was not belittling your choice of speaker, you have very interesting posts. Thought I coluld gig ya a little bit. Guess not. LOL

The funny thing is that tweeter is WAY different then the EII soft dome, very strange option if all legit. But that is the tweeter for the CIV...
