The snow is starting to wind down. We got about a foot. This is a picture from one of the security cameras. The lake shoreline is on the left. I've rolled the dock up into the yard. It has to be removed, or the lake ice will destroy it. The bush in the bottom right is a blueberry plant; lots of fresh blueberries in the summer.

One of the magical things about Maine is the feeling of sitting by the wood stove and looking out at the beautiful panorama. It's a warmth that sooths your soul.

Nice setting.
I have sisters that live in the Norridgewock area .
Have visited there a couple of times .
Did a little traveling when I was there.
Beautiful state.

Nice and quiet for a good increase in signal to noise. A foot always quiets the neighborhood.
In that case I need 6ft of snow to quieten the idiots that live in my neighbourhood, car hoons. All rev, intentional backfiring and wank. Wish I had a gun.
The general families around here are cool though.

Except for the ones in Jeeps who think they are invincible...
The vehicles will get you there. The brains driving the vehicles are seriously lacking most of the time. With all the snow you get in TN, I can see most of those 4x4 drivers ending up in the group that last said “Hold my beer and watch this” before needing a tow truck, body shop and at times medical attention.

You have no idea just how correct you are these days...

Hey now , some of us do have Jeeps and can drive in snow .:)
Of course that has been a couple of 'Oh Sh*t' moments along the way .
Thats the fun part .

I suspect most of us here have had our own "oh shit" moments and are now able to drive in snowy conditions but are also wise enough to know not to unless it's necessary. And have the gear to get out of a situation.

Fact of life out here. Everybody carries tire chains, heavy ones that run hundreds of miles. When I drove big trucks I always had a bucket of chain fixin parts and chain pliers...

Boise: we haven't had any snow so far. We just recorded warmest Christmas ever, 61 degrees! We have been having heavy rain lately..

Bogus basin ski resort looks depressing with a paltry 4 inches of snow.

Boise is very mild compared to rest of Idaho though. We're heading out to Vegas tomorrow and that'll be an interesting drive. US-93 at Idaho-Nevada runs about 7000 ft and blizzards are common..

Speak for yourself!

If there’s a way to do stupid, I’ll find it.
