Stuwee showed where his Mother lived this morning. So I had to show one of the prettiest places on this planet. And very laid back. Unless I'm on the scooter. LOL

Here is the story. I was born by the Shenandoah River, in Shenandoah Valley in Shenandoah county in Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital.

This is some good reading. I live in Woodstock. I went to Stonewall Jackson High School. Well here is the link. As a youth I couldn't wait to get away. As an older adult I couldn't wait to get back.

Your less than 10 miles from West Virginia. That explains a lot. :cyclops:

I hear deliverance music. :albino:

It looks like nice country, but what is that Seven Bends River that just keeps zip zagging back and forth? Does every road need a bridge?

For every 100 females there were 81.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 74.4 males.
Sounds like pretty good ratios or do the guys take two wives? :cyclops:

Yah, and guess where I stayed the night before headin' to Larry's? (hear the banjo? squeal.. yeah.. squeal! :bootyshake: )

Heh... nah, it's actually a few more miles from WV. But also, there's a lil bit of a difference between the eastern and western halves of WV. The coal's over on the western side of the state.

This is on the eastern end (I call it the parent's "compound".. ). That's 10 years old... since then Dad's added a good 600 sq feet to it.

If you walk through the woods near creeks you will see dug outs near the creeks for their stills. LOL When I was growing up it was still made around here. Deliverance was Arkansas.
Now the cash crop is big around here. LOL

Actually it was supposed to take place in Georgia.

Hmmmm stills, cash crops and guys trucking around on scooters. All we need is General Lee on the back roads. :cyclops: Oops that was Arkansas.

No if it is made right by someone who knows what their doing. It is smooth if you just sip. If you gulp it. It will take your breath away. The song Copperhead Rode reminds me of how it use to be here. LOL

Tonight, after Geri completed her gardening in the front yard, we decided to head out in the GS for a drive. The sun was about to set and I took a few pictures.

Cool I wake up in the morning no matter where I look there is a mountain. I do love it here. I said I would never buy a home anywhere I couldn't go to sleep with my doors unlocked. My front door is never locked. Gotta love it.

Hi stuwee,

Thanks! No, it has bucket seats and centre console. But, my 1989 Buick Electra Estate Wagon has a good old bench front seat and a huge cargo area once the middle seat, and rear facing seats are folded down. Yes, a twin mattress fits in there.

The through-bumper exhaust is denoted as the N-25 option and was only available on the 1971-2 Skylark GS. Not many GSs were ordered with this option.

Cool, I didn't think I saw many like that at shows and thought it was a Canadian thing :cyclops:

I lost my virginity in the back of my '71 Vista Cruiser wagon, no mattress, just a blanket, TMI, I know
