In light of Ron's consideration of donating money to the Phoenix Forum, what should we do with a Phoenix Phund??

Any and all suggestions and comments encouraged...

You can use it for whatever you want Lee & Jer. This board has done a lot for me and other members and it's nice when you can give back

Also, I tried to post on the Latest Acquisition thread and on the last page (when I hit reply), the text box pops up only to immediately go to a black screen??? What's up with that???

Can you add this for me Lee

Danimal1969 came down from New Hampshire to hangout and we went to the fleamarket, got a few records each and I also snagged this TT. It came with two Mitsubishi Linear Tracking headshells and two barely used cartridges mounted on original headshells. One is a Grado F3+ and the other is a moving coil (high output) Satin M-117Z. Everything appears to work but the tonearm needs to be remounted in it's transport

Anybody familiar with this model maybe can give me some pointers before I dive in and destroy something? It is a Mitsubishi LT-5V. Missing the dustcover though

Save to convert to XenForo or another PhP platform. This one is fading when the owners also own other forums sites and they are converting them from vB4 to a version of 3.9.3 because even 5 has fairly serious security patches to make. All of the downgrading is causing a lot of disruption among the members that had to go through the move to 4. One member just got a high maintenance ban that was probably directly related to asking why.

The CABE did that last February (Classic and Antique Bicycle Exchange).

Hate to say it but good old vB is at the end. The company that bought them to have a platform for their companies web forums didn't expect a group of their developers to jump ship and start a new company and platform that addresses many of the deficiencies of vB.

I think the week the CABE was hijacked by ?Isis? didn't help either.

A current, or RECURRENT problem with vBulletin 4.

VINYLENGINE.COM, Ron. Even if I'm not a linear tracking fanatic, that is a pretty good one.

Isn't the funds used to help run the site, like paying the yearly fees for server, etc?

That and maybe more. I will leave it to the owners to decide where it's best used. The important thing is that members here can put stuff up to help like AK does and AK brings in WAY more money then they use for upgrading and maintenance

We own our own server and Jer got a killer deal on housing it. It doesn't cost much to run this site...

Fixed... (sorry derek lol. ya managed to mung up da forum... :hello1:)

Go post... hehe

You fix vB better than the guys that own it. KUDOS.

Save the money to get us a better platform.

I've got a purchase upcoming to help that as well as your 'Sui.

I may be "up" for new forum software... we will see. Plenty of open source stuff still out there.
