What cable do I need to get my recently gifted to my iPad Pro (1st version) plugged into a USB B MHDT DAC?

Any help pointing to a specific item? I don't know enough to get in trouble. Don't even have cell phone service and use an old iPhone 4s just to surf with wifi in the house.

I just want to connect the new to me iPad to my DAC and have it work.
 
Is it the big wide connector or the shitty current “lighting” connector on the iPad?
 
shitty proprietary lightning, not that the 30-pin isn't prop also. Glad the EU has forced apple to go with a standard on new crap.

I understand their desire to control the quality of the whole operation, making decent cables but gouging the public on prices for everything bothers me.

I'll look that one over, thanks.
 
There may be less expensive options; I just think it is the type you need.
 
That’s the Apple lightning connector (aka frightening connector)

make sure you clean the socket of lint and then deoxit.
