Nav, rarely--extremely rarely do the kids of a bootstrapper have the same fire and drive that the old man had. The Buss kids will be in "Maintain" mode hoping not to F^%$ up[ what the old man built, and trying to do it by committee is guaranteed to make it less dynamic.

Losing Dr Buss will hurt the team but I'm hoping that the present GM Mitch Kupchak will be given some leeway in making personnel decisions. Mitch learned from the masters - Dr Buss and Jerry West - two of the best so it's a hard act to follow although he did admirably after West left the team.

Dr Buss was very innovative and did a lot to make the Lakers a very successful team - my favorite is (of course) the Laker Girls!
