Also watching NHL Playoffs with Vancouver Canucks vs San Jose Sharks. We lost the first two games at home and two more losses will mean the Canucks get an early start to the golf season. Another game tonight, and Geri is so disappointed she may watch The Amazing Race season finale, instead.

Uh-oh. The Canucks got stuffed again. The Sharks have had Stanley Cup potential teams - they just seem to fold before the finals. It seems that Vancouver has their backs against the wall now down three games to zip.

Well for Geri's sake I hope the Amazing Race was good. Some condolence - the Lakers (the NBA team I root for) were almost impossible to watch in their four game sweep by the Spurs!

Should have been wearing a sack over your head watching that. A team full of all stars does not a winner guarantee.............

I thought they'd do well this season - but not finals contenders. All of their championship teams had a great center - Howard can be that guy but we'll see. Too bad Bynam is so injury prone - Philly may have gotten the short stick on that trade.

Remember the 2003 - 2004 season? The Lakers had Bryant, O'Neal, Payton, and Malone - all hall of famers. Rick Fox was the other starter and he was a great roll player. Even with that lineup they got spanked by Detriot in five.

Come on!~! Howard's in Tinsel Town, that's all he wanted. Howards the kind of center the offense should go through 75% of the time, AND THAT ain't gonna happen while Koby is alive. They just as well sell Howard off ,save some shekels and get a role player for center. THAT IS---barring the hiring of a coach who's character Koby can't dominate....

You're right and I agree - but you did play some ball in your time so you have better insight than most. Kobe had a potential career ending injury but I think he'll be back for one more year. If that is true I'm not sure Howard will want to come back.

I was hoping for a different offensive approach of taking the ball inside with two good inside players and then kicking it back out. I naively thought that Kobe would take on a different roll but it just didn't happen - at least not to the extent that it should have with Howard. We'll see what the offseason brings as the Lakers have a tendency to bring in the right guys but with the Buss kids taking over...?? Time will tell.

Some of the latest post-game interviews with the players of the Vancouver Canucks might have hit an all-time high for cliches: do-or-die, one win at a time, back against the wall, put your best foot forward, the 20 players on our team have to be better than the 20 players on the other team, etc...

Well, as far as "The Amazing Race" a pair of hockey brothers won the $1 million in the season finale. However the hockey brother twins on the Canucks, Daniel and Henrik Sedin, get paid over a $1 million each and don't win the game.

Nav, rarely--extremely rarely do the kids of a bootstrapper have the same fire and drive that the old man had. The Buss kids will be in "Maintain" mode hoping not to F^%$ up[ what the old man built, and trying to do it by committee is guaranteed to make it less dynamic.

Sucks, don't it. Not quite as bad as Derick Rose. Been cleared to play for the Bulls now for 2 months and still won't suit up. Guaranteed what 32 million whether he plays or not?? Pure chickenshit...

Lee: What would happen to you and I if we didn't give her almost every day of the work week? It's a different attitude in pro sports. But, for all the belly-aching all of us fans do we still support our home team or favourite teams until the very, very, very end.
