Since Paul is checking out PG it got me in the mood so I just put on Led Zep II (the RL hotmaster version). Been awhile since I have spun a copy as it's one of those lps that should be played sparingly. This lp sounds HUGE

I'm the Red Knight, by grant of the Black
I'm listening to Minnesota Public Radio again, via their website - overnight classical. The reception is amazing - good fidelity and noise-free - even piano notes sound excellent. Darn it, this happens just after I got the right tuner hooked up to the right antenna to get good broadcast NPR here in the desert.

I've totally lost the plot....
The Beatles - Rock Band Remixes.

The quality of mixes on this set just kills anything ever released previously.
Just mind boggling if you're familiar with The Beatles early stuff.

I've got (nearly) EVERYTHING...........
My Beatles collection is death defying.
It's been growing for years and years and years.
It would take three lifetimes to listen to it all end to end. :happy7:

Good taste, BD! Back in the 80's I lost everything but my life to drugs and alcohol. One of the things that went was my Mobile Fidelity Beatles "The Collection" boxed set. I still kick myself over that one.
Fast Forward to today, a friend lent me his copy of "The Collection" last year and I did a needle drop dub of it. Question: does your set have low modulation? Do you have to crank your volume up higher than normal for the same sound level?

That's really sad about your loss.

I have so many different versions of everything (including .flacs, aiff, or wavs) that I find I'm always fiddling with the volume knob somewhere along the audio chain, be it the computer end or at the pre-amp, or wherever.
.. but that's nothing unusual, and doesn't bother me. I've got heaps of headroom all over the place.

Wot I don't have yet, are needle drops of the latest mono LP releases, but then I haven't really looked 'cause I forgot.

Scorpions - World Wide Live (CD) feeling nostalgic now, brings back some great 80s memories when things were less complicated and we just lived for the next party
