what are you listening to?

Moxy ~ Moxy

If you don't have this album then do yourself a huge favor and get it in some format and give it a listen. I can't see how you'd be disappointed

I'll give it a listen - just read that Tommy Bolin did some of the guitar work on this album. He just happened to be in an adjacent studio room when Moxy was recording and filled in for the lead guitarist.

Have you heard Tommy's only solo - Teaser? I haven't heard it for years and I just youtubed some of the Teaser songs - this guy was good. Too bad drugs took him out so young.

Teaser is a quality album. Tommy Bolin was a great guitarist too. I have an old MP3 bootleg of Tommy jamming with Jeff Beck, they each take turns playing bass/guitar.

He had 2 solo efforts Nav.

Shpongle----"Remix" --------------Wopl 1000 "B" at Mach 8 , hard enough gotta let the voice coils cool between songs. Damn these things sound good.

"Private Eyes" was one . Owned both Teaser and Private Eyes on vinyl years ago. Still good stuff....

Today, I did buy the newest Deep Purple CD, titled "Now What?!." I"ll give her spin tonight. I see it has been dedicated to John Lord with the following "Souls, having touched, are forever entwined."

Private Eyes is still one of my favourite albums. I recorded this using the Korg at 1 bit 5.6MHz down-sampled to 16/44 and made a good
CD. Sounds superb with the unwanted noise removed.

Nice choice, Pat. I haven't got that album of Status Quo. For the first time, it dawned on me how close your LP12 is to my Ariston Audio RD-80. Are our turntables related?

Nando.

AFAIK they are pretty much the same Nando, although I may be wrong!

I really like this album and its well worth looking up!

Thanks, Pat. I thought we owned similar tables. I looked up that album. It's an oldie - back to 1970. Looking at the band's discography, I find many I need to add. Have you got "In Search Of The Lost Chord?"

Nando.
