Some years ago, in a box of 8 track catridges I bought, were, I believe four Queen albums. I reconditioned all the tapes in the box and play tested most of them, Queen tapes included. Some of the Queen tracks, the ones that never got on the air were interesting. Enjoyable even.

I would much rather read to learn about Brian May's experiences in astro physics that his experiences as a musician. Freddy Mercury, I'd rather not read about at all.

They played them to death, and I'm on the same page as you.
I love that album Queen II, not a single hit and interesting at the same time.
As for Brian and Freddy, I simply don't give a fuck.

Ok, finger prints can lead to grime build up on the stylus, which will lower fidelity over time, unless a wet clean is performed on the stylus. Dry Brushing the stylus wont remove the 'grime'.
I use Mofi super deep record cleaner, and in extreme cases isopropyl alcohol has helped with very difficult records (but many will not recommend this). I have not had any negative effects from using that.
