A nice little tease. My preordered vinyl arrives tomorrow...

I have to admit... Joe is losing a touch of his precision but it still Rocks! The one dude hits the 'Crossroads' vocals nicely.

CD inbound. I've seen a few "G" Shows over the years... so this is cool to see coming back around to the OG's.
Looking forward to the sound-board mix -- as this floor recording isn't the best and bass heavy...

 That's cool, I've only been to one. Took my nephew to G3 2018 with John Petrucci, Phil Collen. Gonna try to make Surfing with the Hydra tour this year. For 68 , I agree Joe still rocks.

Realistic LAB-2100 Playing Foghat

Testing my LAB-2100 linear-tracking turntable, as I bought it at the thrift store a few weeks back for $20. I received a new stylus and tonearm carriage drive belt for it, yesterday. The original drive belt was still working.

Scored this puppy for a mere $1.25 at a liquidating indoor flea market bizarre...

1959 recording with really, really good staging. Snappy Shearing! The xylophone presence is phenomenal, even with the Cube cranked up to 9.

That is a real score, especially in Stereo.
I have a stereo copy of this album, and most of Shearings' albums are very well engineered.
The album does have extremely good soundstage , the quintet surrounds you.
I believe that is Emil Richards on the Vibraphone, very different instrument than a wooden bar xylophone.
Enjoy! It's a great album.

I loaded up a few Cure CDs and the player just would not read them. Swapped to the other Sony of similar function, same remote, same service manual and dang if it wasn't having trouble reading the first disc.

Finally got it to read and now I have one more chunk of gear that needs to hit the bench.
