what are you listening to?

My new 3.5mm to RCA Y-connector from Chris Cables after I got in from my show last night. Found the "missing" bass that I've previously noted from the A&K DAP in comparison to my DAC. Will listen more tomorrow after the last show is over tonight but nicely done, Chris, nicely done!

Loaded the cdc again after listening to overnight music for a week (streamed, bedroom, echoes.org has the playlists) and heard the following...twice

KKSF-FM 103.7 Sampler #2
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Helping
Jethro Tull - The Best Of Jethro Tull: The Anniversary Collection one of the two discs
Santana - The Best Of Santana
Neil Young - Harvest Moon

Was just working around the house, mostly kitchen making the birthday dinner. Today I put in a couple discs I had not heard and left three of them in the machine.

Tomorrow a new set goes in. Dang the rig sounds good these days.

I use that same series Amohenol RCA, wonderful to work with, plenty of room and appear to be without a glaring weakness....Nice Chris...

Been using Switchcraft 3502A's and Belden microphone cable to make up my interconnects for years. I like em real good. I guess I just like the cheap stuff because all the mic. cable is used. Or should I say pre owned to make it sound fancy. I would like to try some of those really fine cables one day though.

Gary: I bought the Dual CS-701 from a friend - Keith - back in early 2022. In fact, I bought a huge amount of his gear because he was moving from Squamish to Prince George and he had to downsize. He had since passed away in February of 2023. But Nick at The Turntable Shop, serviced the Dual for me soon after I bought it.

Nando.

That's very cool. Mongolian, I'm guessing? If not, my apologies.

Reminds me a bit of a group I presented a few years back called Cello Fury (https://www.cellofury.com/videos). We had them on an off night from the big shows but they had an outsized impact: more than one parent sent me emails saying their children had been inspired to learn to play cello as a result of that concert. They're worth a listen.

These guys could have the same impact if we could get them in front of people here.
