what are you listening to?

The Midnight Special, 1973, hosted by Johnny Rivers, on the big flat screen.
First band up is Steely Dan.
I like them better live than recorded.
Looking forward to seeing what song Johnny Rivers performs.

Tool----"Fear Inoculum"

Have you seen the drum cam for Pneuma? If not here it is.

Harry Nilsson 'Nilsson Shmilsson'
I watched 'Goodfellas' tonight, which always inspires me to start listening to some Stones, Donovan or Nilsson.
Fave track track has to be 'Jump into the fire' as used in that scene.

That song is one of my favorites of his - haven't heard it for a long time and thanks for posting this. Good memories.

Yes Navo, months ago, and it never gets old....Danny is not from this world... And he's a Jayhawk alum and does guest drumming with the school band..... a lot.

Usually don't see Mike Oldfield posted but +1000 for that. I hit play random selection on the music server and Part One - Tubular Bells was first song.

Danny Carey of TOOL is crazy good!!! If you have not seen the following, check it out. This comes from another drummer who can do some crazy stick work.

Pile - "Prom Song"

Pretty downer but really good. Sort of a spiritual successor to the angst of Nirvana but more nuanced in songwriting and instrumentation. Plus has one of the best guitar solos of the last fifty years--simple, direct, but powerful.
