what are you listening to?

Saw John Waite, Styx, and Foreigner a couple evenings ago at Blossom.
John Waite was fantastic. Sang all the old Babys hits. Never knew he was English until hearing him speak on stage. A real talent.
Styx was OK, I'm not a fan. Mr. Roboto was a good time to walk to the pisser.
Foreigner is on their Final Tour, and were stoked to be playing Cleveland as they're scheduled to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this coming Fall.
They put on a fantastic high energy show and took time between songs to interact with the audience. Said they've been touring 9 months out of 12 for the last 20 years, and it's time to retire from touring.
This evening the wife and I are going back to see New Kids On The Block and Paula Abdul. I'm looking forward to seeing Paula.

Foreigner must put on a great show...

Started with
Drain STH - Freaks of Nature

Now for some North Texas boys;

Lord Tracy - Deaf Gods of Babylon

His older sister Sally sings on some of his cuts.
I've come to really enjoy the complexity and tones of all the instruments he uses.
I crank the stoner rock. Mike's music I enjoy at a much lower volume, like classical. It's the textures and the journey that I enjoy.

Female singer Maggie Reilly also appears on several Mike Oldfield's albums.

Quote From Wikipedia:

"Most notably, she performed lead vocals on the Oldfield songs "Family Man", "Moonlight Shadow", "To France", and "Foreign Affair", all of which were international hits in the early 1980s."

What a beautiful voice!

Hot in Ohio today, so:
Foreigner..... Unusual Heat
Next up is Foghat....Live

I believe it's hot pretty much everywhere. I know it is down here; about baked to a crisp Saturday at E's softball tournament. I'd forgotten how tough softball players have to be to put up with that heat all day and half the night.
