what are you listening to?

it's the whole afternoon and evening that I am listening to an album by an italian guitarist/singer/producer who passed away just today...
the youngsters here have no idea about who he really was and all the great music he happened to work on... and, most likely, he wasn't known abroad.
he had started his career back in 1959 as a guitarist and he worked on/with just so many important italian albums/artists, especially during the 60's, 70's and 80's... IMO, he is one of the best (if not the best) italian guitarist ever and also a great producer.

He is (was ) Mr Alberto Radius... R.I.P.

So, i am repeatedly listening to his own solo album from 1979 "America Good-bye" which, IMO, is a true gem from start to end... just LOVE IT!
A couple songs from this album for you too, if you are curious to check... they are quite different ones, though, with the second song which I am listening again and again in repeat mode and just cannot stop it... but, if you happen to like these, my advice is to check the whole album.

Nando's Musaic 2022 got me to pull out a couple of CDs I've not made time for yet. This one rocks:

Interesting story on this group. The founder, Simon Tam, is the guy who took the US Trademark Office all the way to the Supreme Court - and won - because they wouldn't let them use this as a name. They termed it racially insensitive or somesuch. The irony is that apparently, this is how younger Asian-Americans refer to themselves.

I have the book - Slanted - which he wrote about the court case that I'm going to read during recuperation. He spoke at UTC last fall and then did a set at Songbirds later that evening, What I could hear of his presentation was pretty cool. Wish I could have gone to the show after listening to this CD. Alas, I was working another show on campus that night.
