Those later pure plastic Studio Standards were not even suitable as door stops due to their low weight.

I'd just gotten out of hospital, we're both very stressed out, I almost called the EMT's to take him in too. Sorry John you know how much those speakers mean to me, disrepect and myself do not mesh well,
 
At a local audio meet, a couple of guys were swapping amps on a pair of Amrita Summits, and doing it "hot." They were a total loss, and our host was not happy. Amrita was headquartered somewhere around here before they went tits-up.
