Much of this was recorded in March, 1966. dedicated to Frank Wakefield and Ralph Rinzler - two other Mandolin players.

T. Rex were an English glam rock band, formed in 1967 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan. The band was initially called Tyrannosaurus Rex, and released four folk albums under this banner. In 1969, Bolan began to make a shift from basing his band's sound around an acoustic guitar to basing it around an electric one and shortened their name to T. Rex. "Ride a White Swan" in 1970 coincided with the culmination of this change and instantly became a commercial success.

The name was abbreviated to T-Rex by someone in the studio because he didn't feel like writing out the entire thing. The shortened name was thought a good idea except by Marc Bolan but he got overrulled.

Tyrannasaurus Rex was a folk duo with Marc and s guy who went by Steve Perrigrin Took. I too would want to change the name when a former member was sufficiently drug addled to identify with a Tolkien character.

And BTW, Electric Warrior was the best hash smokin' album of all time. Still got my original release copy.

Thanks Steve. Certainly well worn, barely a thing done to it since original, except for new RCA cables, belt, and a few drops of bearing oil. It has been fantastic since day 1.
