this record bears repeat spins, great songwriting and playing.

Keith Richards - Talk Is Cheap
(1988, Virgin) STERLING in the deadwax; mastering by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound

recycled picture from 5 years ago, debut solo LP; with Waddy Watchell, Mick Taylor, Chuck Leavell, Bobby Keys, Ivan Neville, Sarah Dash, Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker. Straightahead rock, and this record sounds better to me than a lot of the Stones 80s output.

Various - A Bushel Of Five String Banjos

the humble banjo according to music historians was transported to these shores during slavery, by Africans who adopted it from the Arab traders. It mellowed musically, and prospered in the rich soil of the south at first, then moved across this great land with the pioneers westward.

Dave Edmunds - Closer To The Flame
(1989, Capitol) mastered by Capitol Wally in the deadwax, both sides; mastered by Wally Traugott

probably my favorite solo EC record.

I owned "Slow Hand" and " Backless"...haven't heard 461 all the way through. Is Motherless Children the same as Steve Millers??

Been a while since I posted in here.

Mike Oldfield - Discovery

Ortofon OM20 Stylus works wonderfully on the SME Arm
