what are you listening to?

IMO one of the best live albums ever recorded

On the Technics table....

Yep, finally finished it. The tonearm height adjustment collar was seized so I had to take the whole TT apart to fix it, that was a shitshow. Anyway, got it unseized, cleaned all the brass and stainless threads, lubed them up, reassembled everything after calibrating the tonearm. Sounds good, a very decent turntable the 1200mk2 is. I hear no rumble at all and it never deviates in speed

Oh, Hell Yeah...Becker helped out and it was so good that I think eventually it got Steely Dan back together and on tour.

More I.G.Y. than I.G.Y.

I like the Peter Green era blues stuff a lot obviously but nothing wrong with Stevie Nicks joining, Christine McVie is an excellent singer also. The music moved in a different direction for sure and yep, many hit or miss albums but they have endured and still putting on great performances

Fleetwood Mac is kind of like the answer to "What if ABBA had stayed together for years after the two couples had had enough"?

The difference is that ABBA didn't take all the anguish as far as FM to work to create a triumph like 'Rumours'...the creation of that album was an act of cathartic symphony like none other.

My SL-1300 (the first one) has a slight 'jerk' in speed ~every revolution iat 33 rpm. Otherwise it's BEAUTIFUL and I can ignore the broken automatic return cam if I'm careful. I saw one on an episode of CHiPS during some infamous disco contest Ponch was in and fell in love with the design of the knobs and the heft of it.

Anything by The Zombies is great but this is my favorite - Odyssey and Oracle (30th Anniversary Edition) on Big Beat
