what are you listening to?

Got that "Tribal" thing going on...very cool SLF. Shpongle has a couple albums that are heavy on tribal beats...very cool stuff also.

The Patricia stuff is very well engineered and mixed, somebody knew their shit....

Patricia Barber----"Verse", now...

Patricia Barber will make a Jazz fan out of a person. The more I listen to her the better I like it......a BIG THANKS....to D2 for this!!

You are most welcome bud, Patricia Barber has sure grown on me, still have lots to listen to. Getting ready for guests to arrive here, got all the windows and doors closed ready for a good WOPLing and jaws dropping to the ground. A/C has been flat out since 12pm, keeping it at a nice 74F.

Lee have a look on the underside of each disc under good light, you will find the title/artist/year imprinted into the blank section of the discs, on the outside of the ones where there was sufficient room to do so.

Edit: My CD burner does a thing called label tag where it burns anything you specify into text/numbers/characters. Works best with DVD-Rs where the contrast is much stronger.

This afternoon:

Rush - Grace Under Pressure (Vinyl)

Rush - Moving Pictures (MFSL UDCD)

Rush - Signals (MFSL UDCD)

Transferring all 3 onto quality Sony Beta hifi Tape using my trusty Sanyo VTC-M40 Beta Hifi Machine. Peaks set at +8db, no saturation what so ever. All that room on the tape reserved for the video picture is not used which makes the audio quality more accurate. No head chatter or bleed through, nothing at all, brilliant stuff for 1984 technology. 80db dynamic range.

That's a lot of DR for tape.....very cool labeling on the back D2...party time eh?

Just one friend coming over and the neighbor might join in later tonight. We have been music buddies since primary school. Spent every lunch hour playing tapes, would have a cassette deck reserved daily without fail.

Diagonal tape scanning technology via a fast spinning head mount. 2 heads for picture, 2 heads for hi-fi signal.
