what are you listening to?

Doug, a sealed original 6 eye of this would cost many many thousands of dollars. I am selling this copy though, had it up on AK but people are broke now over there

Very pricey album. Guess that comes with being Rolling Stones highest rated jazz album. One sold locally last month for $2800- wish I had the scratch.

A sealed 6 eye? I bet the price is low because you can't tell what label version your getting. The covers look the same for the later Columbia issues (pre barcode). The mono's are far rarer then the stereo versions

That is possible, Ron. Waiting on the 45 RPM mono reissue that is supposedly coming out after the 45 stereo reissue. Of course, the stereo version is taking its sweet time being released.

Enjoy

And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate......

What is rare enough to command those prices? I really had no idea a piece of vinyl would bring those kinda prices...

I don't think I've listened to this title in awhile, nice. Grabbed yesterday for the princely sum of $1.50 at one of the regular haunts.

Me either , but definately a classic...has he made any music since he became Mustafa al-Abaca or whatever his name is now?

In December 1977, Stevens converted to Islam and adopted the name Yusuf Islam the following year. In 1979, he auctioned all his guitars for charity and left his music career to devote himself to educational and philanthropic causes in the Muslim community

Bet he's a bit disillusioned now eh? Or maybe not?

He spends his time between living in London and Dubai

Some disasters in music history disappear the natural way....

Yeah, frosts my ass that he only looks out for the Muslim community despite the fact that he still gets $1.5 million a year for royalties from non-Muslims that spend their money on his records. I think he forgets who made him popular and gave him the means to live his changed lifestyle
