what are you listening to?

Got mad love for Ed over here. Not just for eruption either. While its a monumental guitar solo, its far from what Ed was/is capable of. Things like Dance The Night Away solo always made me drool.

2:25 for the guitar solo. While small it just says a lot...imo.

Still havent opened up my Different Kind Of Truth vinyl. Maybe one of these days.

I dont think father Ted would be considered a shredder by any means, but he sure could tear up the fret board.

Fastest left hand I've seen......

Torturing the horns with some Moby---"Play" with the Pig, while Jani is making some sick jokes about a "broke neck rabbit choker"....Fun times in the Laatsch house today...

As a side note, Clapton past Blind Faith pisses me off.

This exactly, it's like he lost the fire/passion whatever

EVH is a unique guitarist Lee. I do not consider him a shredder like the neoclassical shedders I mentioned before. Ed was Mr Hammer on/pull off. He had total control of his guitar and a truly unique technique. He also came up with one of the best "tones" of any guitarist period, the mystical "brown sound" we all kill to emulate. Not to mention such a CLEAN sound

Eddie is Eddie alone unto himself!

TRhat guys pretty damn good ttoo......gotta be hot in those spacesuits though...
