Axelrod was a staff producer for Capitol in the 60s, working with Cannonball Adderly, Lou Rawls, The Electric Prunes. He released a series of interesting solo LPs including this one.

A member of Yesfans was kind enough to start a diversionary thread on the Beach Boys music. I've listened to a lot of great stuff, and currently the topic has progressed to the huge vocal range of Carl Wilson (F#2 - A5 I believe it was). Carl even backed up Elton John (he was the Don't Let The Suns etc. on Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me)...
