Keola & Kapono Beamer - Honolulu City Lights
(1978, Paradise) Artisan symbol in the deadwax

wonderful traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music and slack-key guitar from Keola Beamer. Karen & Richard Carpenter recorded the title song after hearing it on vacation in Hawaii.

Keola Beamer - Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar In The Real Old Style
(1972, Music Of Polynesia)

Slack-key guitar is a fingerstyle genre of guitar music that originated in Hawaii. Its name refers to its characteristic open tunings: the English term is a translation of the Hawaiian kī hōʻalu, which means "loosen the key"

Here's a bit of Courtney Barnett. It's her debut album that came out last year. Anyone else heard her music?

Broken beyond repair but highly affable
Whomever performs the ringing in my ears is still on pitch and remarkably consistent over the years.

Good music, Lee. First time I heard it being played in a store I thought it was some band from the 80's I had missed. Crosses a few music genres.
