Steeleye Span - That's Steeleye Span

A $1 find at a university district yard sale a couple of summers ago. I grabbed several nice Steeleye records from the box & the 30 something gal running the sale was a fan. She was transitioned to digital, no longer spinning records. It was fun telling her about seeing the band just a couple of miles from the location at the University of Washington many years earlier.

Picked up at a thrift store yesterday:

Rameau by Bob James - he is following in the footsteps of "Switched On Bach," but with the works of the French baroque composer Jean Philippe Rameau. Like it, and recommend it.

a nice find at one of my locals earlier this week. Listening to record 1, which should be credited to Traffic. Great sound quality. Killer sonics on You Can All Join In.

Too bad the art department at Island Records decided to phone it in for the artwork on this record.

...From an album that I just can't seem to play LOUD ENUFF! Thanks for posting that...

I discovered Joy Division, XTC, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Midnight Oil when I was 15, all in one day on the same shift on a college station. Also Viv Stanshall and Jools Holland.

It was probably the most wonderful listening day of my life.

Still, to this day I have to look up the word Sioux, I misspell it every time.
